A 16-year-old boy and a 14-year old girl were rescued from a dog attack at their home in Eugene, Oregon, on Thursday.
The boy and girl are recovering at a hospital.
A witness said that the dog attacked the pair and dragged them to the ground, which prompted the family to run into a neighbor’s backyard.
The witness said he called 911 to report the attack, and when the officer arrived, the teen and the girl ran into the backyard, where the dog was still biting the girl.
The child was able to get away from the dog, which had been attacking the teen, according to the witness.
The dog was euthanized by Oregon State Police.
The family is from North Dakota.
